Bob Kerr, 84

Robert KerrMr. Robert “Bob” Norman Kerr, age 84, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 29th, 2015 at the Heartland Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born on Jan. 5th, 1931 in Three Rivers, MI. the son of the late Paul and Shirlie (Jacobs) Kerr.

Bob has been a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. On Oct. 8th, 1950 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Phyllis (Mohney) Kerr. Together they raised three children on the Centennial Farm on Hoffman Street. Bob was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon and loved to play golf. In his younger years Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, and running his business “Kerr Peat Moss” for over fifty years. Bob was a volunteer fireman for Fabius/Park Township Fire Department and was also a member of the St. Joseph Valley Old Engine Club. He farmed his entire life and also worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 27 years.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Kerr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 64 years, Phyllis (Mohney) Kerr, of Three Rivers; three children, daughters, Paula (John) Snivley, of Coldwater, MI., Kristine (Jim) Gushwa, of Jones, MI.; son, Mark Kerr, of Three Rivers; sister, Marilee Dean, of Frankfort, MI.; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brenda Deily officiating.
