Corey Lake Orchard awarded grant

State Rep. Aaron Miller announced that a Three Rivers orchard has received a grant from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to expand and increase its production.
Miller said Corey Lake Orchards in Three Rivers was awarded more than $48,000 through the “Value Added and Regional Food System” grant program.
The money will be used to enable the facility to expand and increase production and promotion of Michigan wine, spirits and hard cider.
Miller said he is excited that the agency is making it possible for the local business to expand its offerings.
The Corey Lake Orchard grant was among 12 proposals that will receive more than $700,000 total to help grow Michigan’s food and agriculture economy.
