As if snail mail wasn’t slow enough….

June 5, 2008 by WLKM News Room

Postal workers in Middlebury have started delivering 21,000 pieces of mail found two weeks ago in the home of a substitute mail carrier. The undelivered items include first-class mail, publications, bulk mail and parcels. The investigation began after customers in the area complained about undelivered mail. The carrier, whose name was not released, was arrested May 19th and resigned Tuesday. Officials say an investigation is continuing. Postal Service spokeswoman Susan Pfeifer says the carrier was a substitute and worked different routes. (AP)

I hope we hear the follow up to this story. You always wonder what happened to your good old People Magazine when it comes two weeks late in the mail…..
