Flowerfield Road bridge is open

The St. Joseph County Road Commission reports that the Flowerfield Road bridge – crossing Flowerfield Creek in Flowerfield Township – is now open to traffic.

                The bridge has been closed since June 5^th while the former structure was replaced with a concrete box beam bridge.

                The bridge was constructed by J. E. Kloote Contracting, Inc. from Ferrysburg, Michigan.

                The project was 95 percent funded with State Local Agency Bridge Funds, with the remaining five percent match funded with the Road Commission’s Michigan Transportation revenues.
