Donations for TR football final

November 25, 2009 by WLKM

The Athletic Office at Three Rivers High School is accepting donations to defray the cost of going to Ford Field in Detroit for the state football championship game Friday night (November 27th).

The Wildcat football team will take on the Marshall Redhawks at 7:30 p.m. after its 14-to-10 win over Saginaw Swan Valley Saturday in Kentwood.

The Athletic Office says it has been approached by community members and corporate friends wanting to make a monetary donation to help with the cost of going to Ford Field for the contest. According to an e-mail message from Ronda Trosper, “We will gratefully accept any and all thoughtful and generous donations in the Athletic Office at Three Rivers High School. You can call us at (269) 279-1124 or (269) 506-1102, or make your check payable to Three Rivers High School.”

The message also says, “Thank you for caring enough to want to give our student athletes a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

For additional information about the game from the Three Rivers Community Schools website, go to www.trschools.org.

I am a Wildcat fan, but I really think the team should have came home after the game. With money being short, it would have made sense. I listened to the game and they played their hearts out. GREAT SEASON WILDCATS !!!!!!
