By all accounts, last weekend’s collection of household hazardous waste and electronics recycling was a success. Chainsaw stolen in Lockport

A chainsaw was stolen from a Lockport Township residence last week. Deputies were called Friday to the 20000 block of South River Road in response to a larceny incident. The victim told authorities the theft occurred between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. The chainsaw is an orange, Echo brand Model CS490, with a 20-inch bar.

A 60-year-old Sturgis man was injured after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car in Sturgis over the weekend. Man killed in incident with police

A Three Rivers man was shot and killed by a police officer last week in White Pigeon. State police said the incident started around 12:30 a.m. Friday in Bristol, Ind., where officers from its police department were involved in a vehicle pursuit led by 46-year-old David Sanders.
