The Michigan State Police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday night in Constantine Township. Troopers said that Spencer Minor, 28, of White Pigeon, was killed in the accident. Unemployment rate increases in St. Joseph County

The Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget says jobless rates during June were up six- to eight-tenths of a percentage point in southwest Michigan. Two people were arrested in White Pigeon on drug charges Tuesday evening. The incident happened in the 500 block of E. Chicago Road in the village limits. Communities get partial win in court fight over tax dollars

Local governments have won a partial victory in the Michigan appeals court in a dispute over how state government gives tax dollars to communities. Indiana cemetery remains said to be those of Michigan woman

Human remains found earlier this year in a northern Indiana cemetery have been confirmed to be those of a Michigan woman who vanished last year. Three Rivers to receive state grant

The city of Three Rivers is getting a bit of a financial boost thanks to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. The MSHDA awarded a combined total of $1.4 million to several communities for projects with the support of Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP) grants.
