Michigan House approves land-acquisition plans

The Michigan House recently approved funding for Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund projects, including a pair of land-acquisition plans in Cass and St. Joseph counties. Three Elkhart men were arrested Friday in connection with an armed robbery at a Cass County gas station two days earlier. Sheriff Joe Underwood Jr. said a clerk at the Marathon station in Jones was robbed at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Michigan House passes boat safety bill

Michigan’s House of Representatives last week approved legislation sponsored by State Rep. Matt Lori that makes boating safer on Michigan’s lakes and rivers. Two arrested on drug charges in Cass County

Two Cass County men were arrested on drug-related offenses last week in Volinia Township. Members of the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team were called to assist parole agents from the Michigan Department of Corrections.
