Vehicle larcenies in Cass under investigation

Cass County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a series of vehicle larcenies that occurred last week in the Diamond Lake area. Sheriff Joe Underwood said the incidents took place after sunset Wednesday and before sunrise Thursday. Deputies were initially called by a resident around 3:30 a.m. regarding a suspicious situation. The suspects entered unlocked vehicles, taking cash and valuables.

Adopt-A-Highway cleanup begins

Motorists along state routes are advised to use extra caution, as the second Adopt-A-Highway roadside cleanup event of the year begins Saturday and continues over an eight-day period.
