Woman arraigned in stabbing

A Three Rivers woman, suspected of stabbing a man last weekend, was arraigned in St. Joseph County District Court Monday. Court officials said Cheri Sparks, 54, has been charged with assault with intent to commit murder following an incident around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Fifth Street in Three Rivers. Bond was set at $150,000 cash/surety.

Furlong pleads guilty to second-degree murder

Daniel Furlong, the one-time Constantine resident accused of killing 11-year-old Jodi Parrack in 2007, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. A Three Rivers man was sentenced to at least 14 years in prison for sexually assaulting children in a daycare at his girlfriend’s residence in Three Rivers.
