Several break-ins in Mendon

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating attempted breaking-and-entering incidents in Mendon Township. Deputies were called Monday to the 22000 block of Kline’s Resort Road, where access into six trailers in winter storage had been attempted. Authorities were called to the scene in response to the owner of a trailer that had been accessed without permission.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash earlier this week in Cass County’s Newberg Township. A Decatur man was injured in a one-vehicle accident over the weekend in Cass County’s Pokagon Township. Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday to M-51, near Pokagon Street. Three Rivers police officers last week apprehended a fugitive wanted from the Detroit area. According to a department media release, the Romulus Police Department contacted Three Rivers authorities regarding a 23-year-old man wanted on a number of felonies from Wayne County. A Mottville Township factory was heavily damaged following a fire that started Sunday night. Fire officials said personnel from nine departments were needed to battle the blaze at Fiberglass Composites on Union Street in Mottville. A Three Rivers man died as the result of a 3-car crash Thursday afternoon on M-60 near Roberts Road, just west of Three Rivers. The victim was identified as 57-year-old Randy Jansen.
