School board considers cost to pursue millage request

Members of the Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education may have to do some additional budgeting if one or a pair of election-related matters winds up before voters early next year. Three Rivers Community Schools Superintendent Jean Logan was given a rating of “effective” for the 2014-15 academic year. Community Foundation announces new scholarship

The Three Rivers Area Community Foundation has announced the creation of the Ralph and Phyllis Bence Scholarship Fund. The fund will award a scholarship of $1,000 annually, to be used by the recipient to fund higher education based on academic merit. The trio of Three Rivers school board members targeted for a recall has appealed a vote taken two weeks ago by the St. Joseph County Election Commission. Special education reserves to be split among schools

St. Joseph County’s nine public school districts will share a rebate in excess of $230,000 of 2014-15 unspent special-education reserves.
