Finalist for coach of the year

Mendon volleyball coach Kathy Trenary is a finalist for national coach of the year. The National High School Athletic Coaches Association has named Trenary as one of eight candidates for the position. Brooke Howard, a Mendon High School senior, has been named to the Associated Press Class C all-state basketball team. Marcellus High School senior Steven McKenzie is one of 32 athletes in the state to earn a prestigious award. McKenzie was named a Michigan High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete.
