A man reported missing in Cass County was found deceased Wednesday. Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke said the body of Larry Waldschmidt, was found in Penn Township. Two people were arrested on drug-related offenses following a traffic stop earlier this week in Sturgis. US-131 resurfacing project – Kalamazoo County

Michigan Department of Transportation started a highway resurfacing project Tuesday in Kalamazoo County. According to MDOT spokesman Nick Schirripa, the resurfacing will cover more than 11 miles of U.S. 131 from Milham Avenue in Portage to north of M-43/West Main Street in Kalamazoo.
