Candy Gallay, 52

Candy Gallay, age 52, of Jones, passed away Friday, April 10th, 2009 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kalamazoo, on June 10, 1956, a daughter of Bernard and Annabelle (Matteson) Harenberg. Candy attended school in Three Rivers. On Febuary 17, 1972 she married Fred Gallay in Centreville. Candy worked as an attendant at Hilltop Laundry in Jones and had previously worked at Vesuvios Pizza in Elkhart. She cherished her family, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Candy enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard.
Surviving Candy are her husband Fred Gallay, Jones, daughters Floymay “Angel” (Nathaniel) McCord, Elkhart, Amber Gallay, White Pigeon, April (Eric Alber) Gallay, Jones, son Fred Gallay II, Jones, sisters Kathy (Ron) Erwine, Portage, Sharon Lee, Arizona, Leanne Hummer, Decatur, brothers Don (Carol) Harenberg, Florida, Jim (Mary) Harenberg, Traverse City, Robin Harenberg, Kalamazoo, Terry Harenberg, Kalamazoo, grandchildren Tyler, Austin, Alana, Brooke, Lindsley, Blake, Taylor, Kandiss and Lexuss, step grandchildren Michael and Nathaniel. She was preceded in death by her parents and step father William Chapman.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where Religious Services will be held Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Steve Steele officiating.
