Hal Birkhold, 63

Harold W. “Hal” Birkhold, Jr. age 63, Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, April 19th, 2009 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was born in Three Rivers on September 30, 1945, the son of Harold W. and Ellen (Campbell) Birkhold Sr. Hal graduated from Centreville High School in 1963 and received his Bachelors Degree from Ferris State University in 1967. He married Janice Frohriep on June 26, 1965, they were later divorced. Hal worked as a tool & die maker for GM & Delphi having worked at Fisher Body in Kalamazoo, Wichita Falls, and Kansas City. He retired in 2008 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles lodge in Missouri and enjoyed country and blue grass music.
Surviving are his daughter and son in law Lisa and Paul Drust, grandchildren Dan Drust and Susie Drust all of Sturgis. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Rosalie (Anspaugh) Wells Birkhold, and sister Peggy Lee Johnson.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 5-8 PM at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville where Religious Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25th, with Pastor Dave Peterson, Centreville Baptist Church, officiating.
