Jane Ann Blake, age 62 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Wednesday
afternoon May 27, 2009 at her home.
She was born January 20, 1947 in Sturgis, Michigan a daughter to the
late Richard and Katheryn (Egelson) Gravit.
For over 20 years she had lived in El Paso, Texas returning to Sturgis
in 2006 and her early life was spent in the South Bend, Indiana area and
graduated from South Bend Central High School.
On November 4, 1994 she married Douglas Blake in El Paso, Texas. He died
in May of 2001.
She is survived by Three Daughters; Karen Johnson of Sturgis, Mary Ann
Hardesty of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Christina Dawn Blake of El Paso,
Texas, One Son; Michael Douglas Hardesty of El Paso, Texas, Eight
Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild, Three Brothers; Bob Gravit of
Sturgis, Gary Gravit of Cassopolis and Rand Gravit of Goshen, Indiana
and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers; Larry, Ed and Jeffery Gravit and one
sister; Judith Gravit preceded her in death.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial
service celebrating the life of Jane Blake will be held at 1:00 P.M.
Saturday at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 300 Timothy St., Sturgis,
MI 49091.
