Marjorie J. Kline, age 79, of Burr Oak, Mich., passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, at Fairview Living Center in Centreville.
Margie was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Augusta Township in Washtenaw County, Mich., a daughter to the late Floyd B. and Alta V. (Davis) Bradley.
On March 3, 1956, she married Harold J. Kline in Angola, Ind. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1992.
She graduated from Mendon High School Adult Education in 1983.
Margie had made her home in rural Burr Oak for the past 57 years. She had worked for the former Kirsch Company in Sturgis and was also a homemaker where she helped with the growing, preparing, preserving and selling of produce. She was a member of the Colon American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Sturgis Eagles.
She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Jean (Michael) Whitcomb of Sherwood, Sharon Decker of Colon and Tammy Jo (Jody) Fredenburg of Mendon; one son, Dean D. (Betsy) Kline of Burr Oak; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry L. Bradley of Westland; and several nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by five brothers, Dale, William, Glenn, Donald and Herbert Bradley; and two sisters, Lula and Lillian Bradley.
The family will receive relatives and friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Schipper Funeral Home Ltd. in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marjorie J. Kline will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Mr. David J. Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers.
If desired, the family suggest memorials be made in memory of Marjorie to the Colon American Legion Auxiliary or Fairview Living Centre. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
