Alcohol factor in accident

Investigators from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department said alcohol appeared to be a factor in a single-vehicle accident around noon Sunday in Lockport Township.

Deputies responded to the area of Schweitzer and Holton roads following reports of the incident.

The 27-year-old driver, whose name was not released, was traveling east on Schweitzer Road when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.

The driver was transported to the Three Rivers Health. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

No other details of the incident were included in a sheriff’s department news release.
