Submit interest form by April 13th

Any Three Rivers resident interested in serving on the city commission has through April 13 to submit a citizen-interest form.

Mayor Tom Lowry and commissioners on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Ken Baker, who stated in his letter of resignation that his ongoing battle against cancer prevents him from remaining on the commission.

Forms are available at city hall and may be turned in to the office of city clerk Lindsay Howes.

Lowry and commissioners, meanwhile, saluted Baker and his service of more than 50 years to the city. Discussions about a ceremony to honor Baker will continue at future meetings.
