Three arrested for meth labs

Three Jones residents were arrested on drug-related offenses and a child placed into protective custody following an incident Tuesday afternoon.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 61000 block of High Street. Upon entry into the residence, investigators found used meth labs and components to manufacture methamphetamine. A handgun, methamphetamine and marijuana were also located at the residence, sheriff’s officials said.

A 7-month-old child living at the residence was taken into protective custody by the Child Protective Services division of the Department of Human Services.

Arrested were James Ibbotson, 29, and Mary Ibbotson, 26, and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house, manufacturing methamphetamine creating hazardous waste, possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony and possession of marijuana.

Eighteen-year-old Siera Rodriguez was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
