County Clerk details election information

St. Joseph County Clerk Lindsay Oswald has issued a press release with details about next week’s presidential primary election.
Oswald said the March 8 election is to participate in the process of choosing the presidential candidates for the Republican and Democratic parties. Oswald, however, said each voter must choose only one party in which to participate.
Those who show up at the polls will choose either a Republican party ballot, a Democratic party ballot, or a proposal-only, non-partisan ballot. The latter is available only in precincts that have a proposal on the ballot.
To obtain a sample ballot, determine whether you are registered to vote, or find your polling location, Oswald suggests visiting the Michigan Voter Information Center at www.Michigan.gov/vote.
