Glen Oaks to host job fair

More than 50 area employers will participate later this month in what is considered the largest job fair in St. Joseph County.
Glen Oaks Community College will host the event, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21.
Jobseekers will have the opportunity to meet employer representatives to learn about and apply for positions that are currently open.
The event is made possible through a partnership between Michigan Works Southwest, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Glen Oaks.
Meanwhile, a workshop takes place 10 a.m. to noon April 19 in the Dresser Business Development Auditorium on the Glen Oaks Campus to help job seekers prepare for the job fair.
Participants will receive tips for navigating the event and advice on developing a sales pitch in addition to fine tuning their soft skills.
Each attendee will receive a $25 voucher for interview clothing that can be used at Goodwill, Salvation Army or Building Hope Store.
