Damage at Oaklawn Cemetery in the city of Sturgis last weekend is estimated to be in excess of $50,000.
The Sturgis Police Department said the majority of headstones destroyed or damaged date to the 1800s and are expensive to replace.
Investigators said the incident occurred at some point between Friday night and 5 p.m. Sunday.
The City of Sturgis is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who provides information that results in the successful prosecution of the individuals responsible for the damage.
