Three arrested following theft

Three people were arrested over the weekend after attempting to remove an appliance from an apartment unit in Constantine.
State police were called around 4:30 p.m. Saturday after a witness noticed three people – including a former tenant who had recently been evicted from Peachtree Apartments – taking a refrigerator from the former tenant’s unit.
The witness followed the suspect vehicle until authorities pulled it over on Riverside Drive near Dickinson Road.
The former tenant, who is a 30-year-old female, was arrested along with a 31-year-old man from Elkhart and a 32-year-old man from LaGrange. They were charged with possession of stolen property and possession of open intoxicants. The Elkhart resident was arrested on a felony warrant for probation violation, according to authorities.
