Organizers behind the Three Rivers Water Festival have announced details regarding the 2019 event.
The 63rd annual festival will start June 13 and conclude June 16.
The theme for this year’s event is “TR’s Superheroes.” Water Festival Committee members encourage participants to incorporate a “superheroes” theme in their events.
This year’s Water Festival Parade will open the celebration June 13, with the rain date the following evening. Parade participants are urged to consider the “TR’s Superheroes” theme in planning their entries.
The committee continues to plan for the event and its members welcome suggestions from the public for local “Superheroes” to be considered as the Grand Marshall for this year’s parade.
The Water Festival will feature many returning favorites, including Lions Club Ox Roast, Women’s Club Pie Booth, KidsZone, Midway Carnival by Schmidt’s Family Amusements, Arts and Crafts Show in Scidmore Park, Commercial Vendor Marketplace, Water Festival Parade, Car Cruise and Show, Lions Club Turtle Derby and a Saturday fireworks show.
