Body found in Sturgis – Man arrested

Authorities are investigating the death of Kelly-Jien Warner-Miller, whose body was found Thursday at a home in the 200 block of North Maple Street in Sturgis.

Wade Allen, 35, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Allen is charged with open murder, dismemberment of a corpse and failure to report a death, according to court documents.

Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, police received an anonymous tip that a man was storing a body in his apartment. Police made contact with Allen and were given consent to search the premises. There, they found Warner-Miller’s dismembered body.

Warner-Miller’s body was taken to Kalamazoo, where an autopsy will be performed.

Police spent several hours Thursday collecting evidence at the scene.
