US 131 reconstruction update

Michigan Department of Transportation officials have released details regarding the weekly construction update on the U.S. 131 improvement in Three Rivers.

Stage 2 traffic pattern remains in place, meaning motorists are using portions of the southbound U.S. 131 lane for two-way traffic. That includes two-way traffic at the Rocky River bridge, north of the project.

Workers this week plan to continue their focus on road-building and underground storm pipe installation in the area of William R. Monroe Boulevard.

In addition, some underground pipe work and road building will get underway in the area around Hoffman Road. Also, utility-relocation work is continuing throughout the length of the project.

MDOT also wishes to note that the Rocky River bridge remains closed until approach road work is completed.
