Bill Zuzanek, 88

William “Bill” P. Zuzanek, age 88, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Bill was born on April 29, 1931 in Chicago, to the late William P. Adams and Helen (Koubek) Adams.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 30 years, Doris (Mechling) Bell, whom he married on October 28, 1989, two daughters with his wife Jean, Deborah Garner of Magnolia Springs, AL and Kim Adams of Three Rivers. Four step-children, Debra Bell, Diane (John) Bell-Norton, David Bell, and D.J. (Sue) Bell all of Three Rivers. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jason and Jordan (Randi) Eggleston, Shawn (Mary) Garrison, Kristel (Mark) Schlemper, Nikolaus (Katrina) Hoyt, Kaleb Hoyt, and Travis Hoyt, Dennis (Lucy), Ryne and Onnika Bell, great grandchildren Riley Eggleston, Micah, Genesis, and Sophia Garrison, Noah, Natalie and Kaitlin Schlemper, Isabella Hoyt, and his much loved dog, Zoe. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Adams and a brother John Adams.

Bill attended and graduated from the Three Rivers High School. He was employed over the years as a truck driver as well as at Square D, Wells Manufacturing and IKU. He was an Old Timer Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and a lifetime member of the NRA.

He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, mowing and gardening, spoiling the family dogs, was an avid reader, had a love of historical trains, old westerns and cooking. Bill was a person who knew a little bit about everything and was the one you would always want on your side in a game of Trivial Pursuit.

The family will have visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Services to be held at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Funeral Home, 305 Rock River Avenue, Three Rivers, with Pastor Dan Lane officiating. There will be no interment at this time, as per his request, his body has been donated for science to the University of Michigan.

The family has requested, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Joseph County Animal Control in Centreville.
