Two injured in Cass County accident

Two Indiana residents were injured in a single-vehicle, rollover accident last week in Cass County’s Penn Township.

Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called around 6 p.m., Wednesday in regards to a personal-injury accident on Decatur Road, north of Shurte Street.

Investigators said a car driven by Christopher Lee, 40, went off the roadway and into a curb, causing it to flip and come to rest on its top. He and his front-seat passenger, 32-year-old Alicia Egber, were evaluated at the scene and transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles.

Seatbelts were worn and speed appears to be a factor, investigators said.
