Woman arrested on drug charges

A Sturgis woman was arrested on drug-related offenses this week.

Sturgis police said officers observed the 30-year-old suspect walking at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of North Nottawa Street. The woman noticed the patrol car and she fled on foot.

K9 Tucky was called and located the woman hiding in an entryway of a business in the 200 block of North Nottawa Street.

She was charged with resisting and obstructing, and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
