Kenneth C. Lahrke, Jr., 83 of Centreville, passed away on Wedneseday, December 11, 2019 at Fairview Nursing Home in Centreville.Ken was born in Sturgis on December 14, 1935, a son of Kenneth and Alice (Snook) Lahrke, Sr.
He attended Sturgis schools. On January 23, 1955, he married Donna Dickerson in Sturgis.For many years, Ken owned his farm and an independent truck driving business. Then, he drove truck for 12 years for CMI before retiring. He was a former member of Gideon’s International and he enjoyed woodworking, cutting wood, and hanging around his pond feeding his fish.
Surviving Ken are his wife Donna Lahrke of Centreville, daughter Candy Sue Martin of Centreville, daughter Vicki (Dennis) Allen of Centreville, Toni (Curtis) Clemens of Colon, and son Kenneth (Terra) Lahrke, III of Vicksburg; grandchildren Casey Marchand, Curtis (Melissa) Allen, Nick Allen, Luke Allen, Eric (Danielle) Wagaman, Courtney (Nate) Jungers, Becca Clemens, Arianna (Brent) Mingus, Lauren Lahrke, Natalie Lahrke, and Cole Dean Lahrke; 14 great grandchildren; and sister Anita (John) Nystrom of Colon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Carl D. Lahrke.
Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, December 13 from 5 to 8 PM at Eley Funeral Home, Centreville. Religious services will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 10 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Colon, with Pastor David Grimm officiating.Interment will occur in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
