Two men arrested on drug charges

Two Three Rivers men were arrested on drug-related offenses over the weekend.

Three Rivers officers early Sunday morning discovered a car stolen out of Fort Wayne and parked in the lot of America’s Best Value Inn.

Officers set up a surveillance and eventually established a person of interest.

Meanwhile, K9 Jake was called to the location and he responded in a manner that would likely confirm the presence of drugs. Upon further investigation, officers discovered precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamine and meth-related paraphernalia.

A 35-year-old man was charged with receiving and concealing a stolen auto, possession of meth precursors and parole violation.

In addition, a  22-year-old man was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, possession of meth precursors and absconding parole.

They are also being investigated by Indiana authorities for similar offenses, according to police.
