Boy injured in lawn mower incident

A 14-year-old boy was injured after the lawnmower he was driving tipped over Monday morning in Nottawa Township.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies were called at 10:45 a.m. to the 23000 block of River Run Road, where the Sturgis victim was mowing a steep embankment along the St. Joseph River. Investigators said the lawnmower overturned, impaling the victim on the roll bar of the mower.
