Sigmond John Carlisi, age 72, of Constantine, died May 5, 2020 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born December 12, 1947 in New Orleans. On January 25, 1969, he married Carol J. Sides in Chicago. Surviving are his wife, Carol; son Steven (Michelle) Carlisi of Three Rivers, daughter Debra (Stephen) Meredith of Lake Forest, IL, and daughter Julie (John) Olsen of Clarendon Hills, IL; grandchildren Lauryn Carlisi, Olivia Carlisi, John Olsen, Audrey Meredith, Aiden Meredith, and Kathryn Carlisi; mother RoseMarie Carlisi, and brother John (Sandy) Carlisi, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father John S. Carlisi, Sr. Sig chose to live his life doing what he loved; he owned, bred and trained standardbred racehorses for over thirty years, retiring in 2019. Previously he owned and operated Sig’s Party Store in Constantine. Private services will take place at White Pigeon Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Michigan Food Bank www.smfoodbank.org.
