Man arrested during burglary in Leonidas

A Colon man was arrested this week after he was caught burglarizing a Leonidas Township residence.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies were called Tuesday to the 28000 block of Pleasant Road in response to a burglary in progress.

Deputies arrested a 47-year-old suspect. He attempted to steal two firearms and other items, officials said. Investigators said the man broke into the residence, drank a beer from the refrigerator and watched TV.

Felony charges include home invasion, larceny, felony firearms and larceny of firearms, authorities said.
