Police arrest vandalism suspect

Sturgis police arrested a suspect over the weekend after fielding multiple reports of vandalism throughout the city.

Officers responded about 8:30 a.m. Saturday to reports of a man breaking the glass from front-door windows to various businesses. They included Carmen’s Salon, Wings Etc. and Bofa in the downtown district, and the Michigan Secretary of State office on South Centerville Road.

Officers quickly located and arrested the suspect.

He faces multiple charges, including criminal damage to property, police said.
