Man dies in Sherman Township crash

A Battle Creek man was killed in a two-vehicle crash late Wednesday in Sherman Township.

Justin Noel, 19, was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital following the incident, and later died. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Erandi Tzitziki, 19, also of Battle Creek.

Police said Tzitziki was driving north on North Centerville Road and failed to stop at the intersection of Featherstone Road.

A sport-utility vehicle driven by 66-year-old Centreville resident Greg Sirna was heading west on Featherstone and unable to stop after Tzitziki’s vehicle entered the intersection.

Tzitziki was hospitalized and in serious condition. Sirna was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Earl Hojara, 32, of Sturgis, a passenger in Sirna’s vehicle, was not injured.

Seat belts appear to have been worn by all occupants, troopers said.
