Shipshewana Flea Market extends season

Shipshewana Flea Market is extending its 2020 season with “Fall Bonus Days” and will be open every Tuesday and Wednesday through Oct. 14.

Michael Christner, Shipshewana Flea Market Director, said the added dates will feature giveaways, special activities and vendors offering items from plants and produce, to décor and all things fall.

The outdoor, open-air market is ideal for shopping, Christner said, as the 40 acres of space lends itself to social distancing and has been operating under the state’s guidance for retail since mid-May.

The Labor Day weekend market will be open Monday through Wednesday next week. Fall Bonus Days are Oct. 6 and 7, and Oct. 13 and 14.

Meanwhile, a Friday Night Antique Auction will be Sept. 18; Swap Meets will be held Sept. 19 and Oct. 17; antique toy auction is Oct. 21, and Ship-Chic Craft & Vintage Shows will be Oct. 24 and Dec. 5.
