Adopt-A-Highway cleanup begins

Motorists along state routes are advised to use extra caution, as the second Adopt-A-Highway roadside cleanup event of the year begins Saturday and continues over an eight-day period. Thousands of Adopt-A-Highway volunteers will be back picking up litter along state roadways starting Saturday, as they’ve done each summer since 1990. Construction begins on M-86

The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced it will begin roadwork of a main route between Three Rivers and Centreville starting this morning. The Michigan Department of Transportation wishes to advise motorists of a significant project it is starting next week. A six-mile stretch of U.S. 131 from Broadway Road south to the Constantine bypass will be repaved, with work set to begin Monday.
