Constantine man injured in crash

A Constantine man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident on Business Route US-131 at the intersection of Zerbe Road. The victim, 58-year-old William Clewell, collided with a semi, and was entrapped in his vehicle. Clewell was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital for treatment. The driver of the semi, Carl Manley, age 58, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, was uninjured.

Crews search Lake Michigan for teen swept from pier by wave

Authorities say a 16-year-old girl visiting Lake Michigan for the first time is missing and presumed drowned after apparently being swept into the water by a large wave. Northern Indiana officials say a woman whose minivan plunged into a retention pond, killing two of her three children, missed a curve on an icy road just before that crash. State police troopers are investigating the theft of a propane tank from a residence in the 21000 block of Banker Street in Florence Township.
