Collision causes injuries

Three people were treated for minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident last week in Centreville. Police said a 17-year-old Centreville woman stopped on Shimmel Road at M-86, and proceeded to turn in front of an eastbound vehicle driven by a 39-year-old Middlebury woman. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department has apprehended a man who is a suspect in the armed robbery last week of the Hilltop Gas Station Union. Acting on a tip, Edward Wing was taken into custody from a location in Calvin Township. Wing was the subject of a manhunt Monday after he fled from police into a cornfield south of Vandalia.
