Police searching for robbery suspect

Police are looking for a person who robbed Sturgis Party Store on North Nottawa Street last week. Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, a person dressed in trash bags entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said. The robber was last seen running from the scene to the northwest.

Gas prices fall 11 cents in past week to $2.72

AAA Michigan says gas prices statewide have gone down by about 11 cents over the past week. The Dearborn-based auto club says the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was about $2.72 per gallon on Sunday. That’s about 92 cents less than at the same point a year ago.
